1. Bring a scale-up, materials, or equipment story. State the uncertainty, the trials, the measurements, and what you stopped doing when the method became standard. That is the SR&ED shape, even if you never used the acronym at the plant.
2. They will ask what you would not claim. Prepare a quality-control or maintenance example you would exclude, and why. Mechanical candidates often over-claim troubleshooting.
3. If your two years are in industry and not in consulting, say how you will handle a calendar of client sites. Give a real example of parallel projects.
4. Ask how you would pair with a tax senior on the financial side. Showing you know you are not the whole claim is a plus.
5. Confirm city and travel. Some industrial files are on site. 'Remote only' may not fit this requisition.

• Managed lab and production requests in parallel, with a written list of open measurements and owners.
• Reviewed a past project against SR&ED technological uncertainty and systematic investigation, and marked the portion that was standard practice.
